Explanation

Since speeds are in ratio of 3:2, when X completes 3km race ie 10 full rounds of the circular course, Y would have completed 6.66 rounds only (2/3*10). Now, X and Y meet every two rounds. So, by the time X completes, they meet only thrice. Hence, the correct answer is (B).
