It is considered one of the best works of ancient drama. • Malavikagnimitra, Abhijnanashakuntalam and Vikramorvashi were written by Kalidasa. • Kalidasa was also the author of two famous Sanskrit epic poems: Raghuvansham and Kumarasambhavam. In fact, Abhijnanashakuntalam is considered to be one of the best hundred literary works in the world.
